Summary: In this work on Conscientious Objection (CO) to the Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy in Argentina, we focus on two fundamental and interdependent aspects: the reconceptualization of this phenomenon and a proposal to regulate it within the framework of a public health policy. Both empirically informed; In addition to secondary sources, we obtained opinions and perceptions of a survey that we conducted with 269 members of the public health system and 11 semi-structured interviews with managers and service managers also of the public health system, on the forms acquired by the CO, its causes and impact.
